Vermin Scooters is a sports shop in Calgary that found our sled and decided to run with it!
This is our first store in Canada to sell our sleds, and especially in the heart of the Rockies. We're looking forward to hearing stories and seeing photos and videos of all the amazing sledding there is to be done up there.
Kids VT published a great summary of places to sled around Vermont. Towards the bottom is a location we suggested in Washington Country, in the Granville Gulf. Once a secret spot, its one of our favorite places to test the sled in deep powder. Its steep, easily accessible, on public land, and only lightly wooded, so its very easy to find good runs.
Explore the backcountry with a Mad River Rocket, the ideal backcountry sled. Snowshoe up the mountain with the lightweight Mad River Rocket on your back, then ride down, with the snowshoes on your back. The best sled runs to take a Mad River Rocket down are big mountains with fresh powder. And a great way to get to the top of these runs is to hike through the deep snow. What an amazing workout!!
You can also pull the Mad River Rocket behind you as a pulk to haul gear on your backcountry adventure.
Snow is falling across America in mass quantities. Find your steep and deep powder run and take your Mad River Rocket down it. If you're the first person to sled down a mountain, we want to know! We will soon release our "first descents" list.
